After months of evidence-less Trump/Russian hyperventilation by the mainstream media, the first piece of material evidence in support of the Trump/Russia collusion thesis has emerged. IN FORCE. The two sentences that will go down in history:
“This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump…” – Rob Goldstone
“…and if it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.” – Donald Trump, Jr.
This email exchange explains months of behavior – the Putin love-fest; the drip-drip-drip of Russia-related news; the Comey firing – and represents the tip of the Trump/Russia iceberg. The odds-on bet is that the Mueller-led deep dive into Young Don and Young Jared emails and phone records will reveal a cacophony of digital Russian government operative fingerprints.
The likelihood of Don’s email exchange turning out to be an isolated event is about as likely as Snoop Dogg passing a surprise drug test. I give it the ‘ole Lloyd Christmas “one out of a million”.
Sure, there may not have been direct collusion to the extent Hillary Clinton outlined at the Recode conference; but this is quite likely more than enough political “oomph” for the GOP to move toward impeachment. IMO.
Charles Krauthammer’s analysis in the following clip is spot on. But more importantly the interview reveals the disgusting lack of intellectual honesty by Fox. It’s horrifying, and not at all better than the “Resistance”.
May MAGA RIP.
