Not entirely sure what to make of this: According to The New York Times, 608,000 of the 13.5 million registered voters in Texas “lacked any of the seven IDs accepted at polling places.”
This is obviously a highly partisan issue, since those lacking ID typically vote Democrat. But I am not entirely sure what to make of the issue one way or the other. Are those 608,000 lacking appropriate state citizenship? How does one live without an ID, truly?
